I didn't think I'd be back today, but I have a mystery to report.
I had a moment this morning to pray the rosary and I grabbed my basket of scapular supplies to sew while I prayed with this audio rosary. As I was searching for the right piece of brown thread, I pulled out this paper note. I have no idea where it came from, no idea whose handwriting this is. It appears to have been written on a piece of receipt type paper. But to find it on this morning...of Election Day...is rather, well, comforting...rather prophetic. His will will be done. At least by me, and my house.
If it is displeasing to you to serve the LORD, choose today
whom you will serve, the gods your ancestors served beyond the River or the
gods of the Amorites in whose country you are dwelling. As for me and my
household, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:15
Weird. Someone on twitter posted a link to How Can I Keep From Singing, so I have that stuck in my head which is good. Better than the news! If Love is Lord of heaven and earth, how can I keep from singing? That says it all for me---though I hope to have other things to sing about, too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely prayer for today, "Thy Will be done." It gives great peace. We'll be over at my in-laws watching the results. Or I will after I get back from taking my oldest to his gymnastics class. We've prayed our rosary today and offered up our other prayers and sacrifices. All there is to do now is to wait in joyful hope.
ReplyDeleteAll I know is, that's certainly not your handwriting!
ReplyDeleteIt is the perfect prayer. -- Rosemary
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome! I need to write myself those kinds of notes too and hide them so I can later find them. =)
