“Our entire perfection consists in being conformed, united and consecrated to Jesus Christ. Hence the most perfect of all devotions is undoubtedly that which conforms, unites and consecrates us most perfectly to Jesus Christ. Now, since Mary is of all creatures the one most conformed to Jesus Christ, it follows that among all devotions that which most consecrates and conforms a soul to our Lord is devotion to Mary, his Holy Mother, and that the more a soul is consecrated to her the more will it be consecrated to Jesus Christ.” -- Pope John Paul II, Rosarium Virginis Mariae

I have had these beautiful pink beads in my stash for a few months, waiting for just the right opportunity to use them. The Aves are 5 x 8 mm rondelles and the Paters are 8 x 10 mm rondelles, both in facted pink glass. The Paters are capped with silver flower petals. The center is an Immaculate Queen image, with the words "Immaculate Heart of Mary" stamped in the back. The crucifix is a beautiful design with a picot edge.

I would love to win the beautiful rosary. I am trying to really grow in my faith this year and have enjoyed your blog. My son broke my rosary that I got for my 1st communion, 20 years ago. I have been on a search for a new one, and would be so honored to win yours! skvan50@hotmail.com

What a beautiful rosary Barbara! It reminds me of the amethyst one I have and love dearly!
ReplyDeleteThat's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou don't see many pink glass rosaries! I had one for my First Holy Communion, and kept it with me thru a loss of faith (teen years) and back again. But then it fell out of my pocket on a roller coaster ride I really DID NOT WANT TO BE ON with my young son who was barely tall enough to ride. He looked up at me with those longing eyes... and had a great time, next to his white-knuckled mom.
