Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

It's that time again...

...Schultüte time!

Read about the tradition here, and learn how to make them here. Fun, fun, fun!

  1. I made these last year and I have a Kindergartener this year that is SO looking forward to receiving her own "real" one this year! I made her one last year but it didn't have much in the way of cool things for school. I'm so glad you reposted this because I need to get on the ball to make these. :) :)

  2. i love this tradition of yours...
i think it would be a good way for this burnt-out mama to make the start of school festive!!!
i can't wait to put the francis and clare movie in my queque from netflix. thanks for the review.
and please do post that recipe.
    we love anything strawberries here.
today i am going to make some of your yummy oatmeal cookies. they are my biggest boys FAVORITE cookies!

happy toilet cleaning. scrubbing. school planning to you, barb.
i am off to do the same!
i am feeling INSPIRED. and that doesn't always last long...

  3. I think I am going to do this, too. I have one apprehensive 1st grader who does not want to start school again =( Makes me want to keep her at home, but I know this is not the year. But I have been trying to be open for the future ... Anyway, doing some fun things might help her. I hope.

One question: do you use a BIG piece of poster board for each one or one of those smaller sheets? I will be making three. Maybe five. My twins are really starting to notice when they're being left out =)

  4. Thanks, Sara.:-)

Theresa, once you start...it's an annual thing now.

    carpe diem!

Large sheets -- They are big cones! Although I suppose you could make minis. As long as your treats fit.

  5. Oh, thanks! I guess I didn't realize they were big! =)

I appreciate your comments -- sometimes I feel like I'm talking to myself!
