Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

The Simple Woman's Daybook

I'm feeling contemplative today, so I'll try my hand at this.

***
Outside My Window ... rain, finally.
We had a big thunder buster at 3 a.m. It was lovely (really).

***
Towards a daily rhythm ... We're getting back into having a menu and using the chore chart.
I am beginning to feel the load lightening. I'm also instituting reading time for two hours every afternoon. Yesterday went so, so.

***

I am thankful for
... Doug's new job.

***
From the kitchen ...

Eggs and toast for breakfast

Macaroni and cheese and grilled hot dogs for lunch

Hamburgers, oven fries and fresh corn on the cob for dinner

***

To live the liturgy ...

today is the Feast of Our Lady of the Snow.

O heavenly Virgin Mary, on this special feast of Our Lady of the Snows, we ask for your powerful intercession with your son, Jesus. With countless people joined in prayer and in search of God’s help and mercy, be our mighty advocate with your Son as you were at the wedding feast of Cana so that He may grant and answer the many petitions offered on this feast. Amen.

***
I am wearing ... khaki cropped pants, a plum colored shirt, and slippers

***
I am creating ... a rosary today.

***
I am going to breathe deeply ... during my post-surgery doctor's visit today.
If not, the doctor may have to peel me off the ceiling.

***
Bringing beauty to my home ... The flowers outside are looking great.
The boys have done a great job keeping them watered.

***
I am reading ...Whitethorn Woods

***
I am hoping ... to get my school enrollment in today.

***

Around the house
... laundry day.

***

One of my favorite things ... slow, quiet mornings.

***

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:
I'm going to try to pick up the house and freshen up each day before Doug gets home from work. I know he's having stressful days this first week on the job, so we'll try to keep our evenings calm.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing~
