.
Feel free to blow your own horn at any time. I'm feeling very sympathetic about now.
I'm still here. There's that. And, really, I am grateful for that.
I have two blood clots in my left leg. I had an ultrasound today and fortunately they are not the deep vein type. They are superficial thrombophlebitis and since they are in veins that lie toward the outside of my calf muscle, they aren't likely to dislodge and kill me. Good news there. So, I just have to wait them out, take anti-inflammatory drugs, wear lovely white stockings (and that's just how my thighs look!), and use hot compresses hourly.
Oh, and sit with my leg up whenever I sit -- that's not too bad. Fortunately, I've been sitting a lot lately anyway. But, forgive me for being a bad blog host in the next week or so -- sitting at the computer hurts my belly and does not allow my leg to be in a raised position while sitting. So, I'll be praying for you and I'll try to get back soon to share all the gory details of my surgery (not really!).
.
Prayers are continuing. I'm glad they are not the DVT kind of clots. Hopefully they will resolve soon.

Oh, poor you, Barbara :((( Many prayers for you to heal quickly and without too much pain.
ReplyDeleteContinued prayers for you, Barbara. I am happy to hear about the clots being of a "superficial" nature. Anything that lets you sit with your legs up can't be all bad...except maybe those white stockings--I had to wear those on both legs for a week in the hospital in Germany after my first was born! SOP for the Germans, or so they said; personally, I think they just liked to find ways to make this funny, young American soldier's wife look ridiculous!
ReplyDeleteGod Bless,

I'm glad you still have your sense of humor. I'm praying for you.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you are still suffering, but we are still praying for you and looking forward to your bloggy return!
ReplyDeleteForgive you for being a bad blog hostess? Well, I'll think about it. ;)
ReplyDeletePrayers for you on this beautiful feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, dear Barbara.
