Last night we watched Martian Child. Doug and I really like John Cusack and he didn't let us down in this movie. He played a grieving widow who chooses to adopt a "difficult" child (their word not mine) who pretends convincingly that he has been left on Earth from Mars. John was cast with his sister Joan and I really enjoyed their interaction, thinking it must me a lot like their real-life interaction.
The story is about making a commitment to someone, in good times and in bad (even though it's not marriage), and I think it's one that more people need to hear. The older boys watched it with us since it was past Peach's bedtime, but I would have no issues with her seeing it. There was no harsh language, although there may have been a few "OMGs". I enjoyed it so much I would watch it again.
