Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

And They Say Home Schoolers Have No Social Skills

.

On Memorial Day, Doug's dad came for the afternoon and dinner. Doug's mom had knee replacement surgery a couple weeks ago, so she is in a rehab facility for a while. Grandpa was in need of a good meal so he came alone.

Anyway, when grandpa's car came down the street, Peach was at a neighbor's house playing with her little friend, Micah -- he's four. She saw grandpa pull up and took off running, yelling behind her, "Come and meet my grandpa, Micah."

When they reached the house, grandpa was already in the front hall and Peach threw open the door with Micah on her heels. "Grandpa, I want you to meet my friend Micah. Grandpa, this is Micah. Micah, this is my grandpa." Grandpa and Micah shook and "officially" met.

It was so completely unrehearsed that I almost fell on the floor. Peach is six years old. Where did she learn this? I guess all that time spent with those who are not six years old has paid off.
