Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

We Really Need to Get Out More

.
It's a sad thing when getting a haircut is the most exciting thing that has happened in a while.

Last night the silverback gorilla went for a real haircut. Admittedly I haven't had a professional cut in over a year, but really guys, it's not that big a deal. You'd think I was on Extreme Makeover. Sadly, I'm not very happy with the cut. I thought (I asked for) I'd get layers, so that more of the gray would show and I'd have less growth line. I got a fashionable cut that is cute, but still have my lovely growth line. She suggested that it would be three more haircuts before I'd be entirely gray. Ugh.

Maybe I'll have one of the kids take a picture today. Or maybe not.

  1. I vote for a photo!

A while back you said that there wasn't silver or gray hair color, but I'm almost positive that I've seen such a product when I was shopping for my Loreal Feria! ;)

Anyway, hang in there and know that your on-line friend is just as in need of a hair cut as you say you were.

  2. We tried to take a picture, but the battery in the camera was dead. Honest Injun!!

If you find a bottle of gray hair color you call me! I even told my stylist that I thought it was a conspiracy and she agreed. Maybe she was just humoring me.

  3. Oh Barbara,
I can really emphathize. First, I need a hair cut badly - seems like when I get a "good trim" (inches off), I'm still back to "needing a haircut!" I'm blonde with a smokey gray coming in and it's very interesting - almost a skunk look :-) I went from a bobbed, stacked in back, with bangs haircut I had for nearly nine years; the easiest hair cut I've ever had that just literally fell into place; but I grew tired of it, grew it out to my shoulders, with a couple layers and bangs. I like it, but what a lot of work!!! ): I am not a hair person. I'm getting ready to go in and have it cut into a trendy but "mature mom" look! Smokey gray and all, I'll just have to look like a bleached blonde that hasn't seen the bleach in a while!

I should have made this a post at my blog :-)

God bless! Here's to our bad hair days...that they will turn to beautiful silvery hair days!
