Thank You God
And thank you Pope John Paul II for your prayers. Jimmy's surgery revealed that the growth in his brain stem was scar tissue from the radiation site. So while he still required a very scary surgery, his cancer has not recurred. He is recovering from the surgery.
And I would like to note here, while I'm on the subject of prayers from Pope John Paul II, that our family has a relic from this wonderful saint-to-be — a tiny piece of his Zuchetto given to us by the priest who has it in the 2000 Jubilee Museum. It is in a monstrance and Jimmy's mother has had it in her possession since early on in Jimmy's illness. We feel the connection between this young man and our beloved pope is very strong. I am hoping that Jimmy may one day be counted among his miracles.

I hope Jimmy is one day counted as one of his miracles! Wouldn't that be awesome!
