I guess all I have time for these days is a Yarn Along post once a week. I was busy getting St. Andrew chaplets in my shop, and have three more commissioned chaplets to make before the beginning of Advent next Sunday. After that, I have to clean and cook for a whole lot of people next week. Doug and I celebrated our 30-year anniversary on Monday and his birthday is on Friday. Crazy times!
I finished the blue blanket I had on the needles last week. Faith and I watched We Bought A Zoo (very cute -- a few bad words, but nothing my kids don't hear while I'm cooking dinner) on Saturday night and I got quite a few inches added.
Yesterday evening, I cast on a pink hat, because I was headed to parent observation night at dance, and I can't sit still without something in my hands. Bad habit! I did watch her dance, but there's quite a bit of down time -- do I really need to watch her stretch?
I am still previewing a book for a friend, but I admit that not much reading got done this week -- my eyelids are heavy by the time I hit the bedroom.

Happy Anniversary! May you be blessed with many more happy years together!
ReplyDeleteYour knitting productivity is amazing! The blanket is lovely, as well as the hat. Pink and blue, so many baby items you're knitting. :-)
Thanks, Kimberlee. This is what happens when everyone gets too large for hand-knits!
DeleteFollowed a link off Ginny's site. Beautiful blanket!!! Happy Anniversary as well!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jacque.
DeleteHappy Anniversary Barbara!! I am in awe of all you accomplish...I have the opposite problem. I get so tired that when I sit down I fall asleep and get absolutely nothing done:) Love the baby blanket and hat!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Janelle. If I'm not doing something with my hands, I fall dead asleep.
DeleteWow..30 years.Congratulations, Barbara! We had our 20th this year.Went by so quickly.May God grant you many more happy and blessed years!
ReplyDeleteLots of cooking and cleaning here, too. Our priest is coming for dinner on Sunday.
Why is it that a visit from a priest prompts so much cleaning, even when he's not blessing the house? I do the same thing!
DeleteIt went well, thank the Lord. Kids didn't act too crazy and it seems priests love fajitas! The pumpkin pie from Costco tastes almost like the Libby recipe [but the crust not so fab]. And you can't go wrong with Marie Calendar lemon meringue pie[frozen].Our priest is from a large homeschool family himself, so our kids really enjoyed talking to him.
DeleteHave a good week, Barbara!
I climbed into bed last night at 8:09 and thought I'd read a little, but I was so exhausted! I quit trying at 8:12, right after Laney came in from work and kissed me goodnight, and that was that. Happy anniversary!
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine how exhausted you are most days, Jennie!
Deletebeautiful blanket!! and that pink is so pretty and will be perfect for a baby hat :) Happy anniversary to you both!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Karen, for your kind remarks!
DeleteI need to make one of those blankets, but the list of "other" things keeps growing! Sort of like my TBR pile. ;-) Those little animals are too adorable for words. I wouldn't want to knit them, but I would like to play with them!
