Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Yarn Along Layette

I had to wait until today to get photos of my knitting -- yesterday was a lovely, dark, rainy day, but too dark for photography.

I'm working on the last sweater of the layette. After I finish it, I just have to knit an ivory bib and then I'm finished -- eight sweaters, four pairs of booties, four hats and four bibs. Whew.

Never again, unless it's for my own grandchild, and even then I think eight sweaters is a bit more than most babies can wear.

Top photo is the sweater I'm currently knitting, along with my trusty Kindle. I just started An American Heiress. No comment yet. I finished A Fall of Marigolds and would definitely recommend it.

The photo below is for those of you who wanted to see the entire layette. If you want info about patterns and yarn, just leave a comment.

See what I mean about a lot of hand-knits? Definitely double click to see it all up-close.

Go see Ginny if you want to see more than baby knits!

    1. Thank you, Anne. The purple, white and ivory are KnitPicks Shine Worsted (wisteria, white, ivory). The pink is KnitPicks Comfy Worsted (flamingo).

    1. The colors are really sweet -- that bit has not been hard to deal with. At last I wasn't knitting with ugly green, orange or brown! The side button sweater is a really a sweet knit. I don't know that I'll ever get tired of knitting that pattern. It's on my Ravelry page. I just sent my young cousin that sweater, booties and hat in flamingo for her new baby girl (after two boys and multiple miscarriages). I think she was really tickled with hand knits!

    1. I'm not certain my daughter-in-law will be so big into hand knits and the grandma who ordered this layette, but I'll try!

    1. Thank you, Kimberlee. The colors do look pretty together and the grandma had someone else make smocked gowns to match my yarn colors. Best dressed baby of the year, I imagine.
