Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

A First Eucharist Rosary Giveaway

Don't you love finding new friends? It's rather easy to find a friend on the Interwebs, but it's not always easy to find a friend you could really, truly be friends with in real life.

Through the miracle of "click, click, click" I found a new friend recently, one who could be the real thing if we lived a little closer. Ohio to Connecticut is rather far for a coffee date, however, so we'll have to settle for emails and blog comments until one of us goes on a road trip.

My new friend's name is Laura and she blogs at SHINE. I enjoy the way she writes...energetic and busy and full of kids. When I posted last week about my rosary shop, she was reading and decided to make a purchase for her little First Holy Communicant-to-be. And then she asked if she could blog about my rosaries. I said, "Heck yeah, and let's have a giveaway while we're at it!"

So here I am today, with my new friend Laura, and I'm giving away two rosaries. They are both First Holy Communion rosaries, so if you have a little boy or girl in your life who is receiving Jesus for the first time this year, please leave your info down in the combox and maybe you'll win!

The Living Water Rosary

"They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more;
the sun shall not strike them, nor any scorching heat.

For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd,

and he will guide them to springs of living water;

and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes." Rev 7:16-17

Christ comes to His Church, bringing springs of living water, at every Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, in the Eucharist.

This brilliant blue rosary is perfect for the young First Communicant...bright and shimmering, just like the living water. The beads are 6mm glass beads in shades of blue, crystal, and aquamarine.

The Pater beads are crystal clear and have tiny silver scalloped caps.

The two-sided chalice center and Papal crucifix are base metal, as are the chains and pins.

The Fruit of the Vine Rosary

Blessed are you, Lord, God of all creation.

Through your goodness we have this wine to offer,

 fruit of the vine and work of human hands.

It will become our spiritual drink.

In the Holy Eucharist, we bring the fruit of the vine, the work of our hands to Our Lord Jesus, and taking it, He comes to us, to nourish our souls. "Communion with the Body and Blood of Christ increases the communicant’s union with the Lord, forgives his venial sins, and preserves him from grave sins. " CCC 1416

This First Eucharist rosary is made with emerald green, peridot, lavender, and crystal clear 6mm glass beads. The Pater beads are capped with tiny silver flower caps.

The two-sided chalice center and crucifix are base metal, as are the chains and pins.

To enter the giveaway, just leave a comment with your contact info. If you don't have a blog to link back to, please leave an email address. You will not be entered if I have no contact information. Please also tell me if you would like the Living Water rosary or the Fruit of the Vine rosary, or if you have no preference.

Laura will announce the winner Saturday, so leave your info by noon Saturday, March 15.

  8. Can I say first that I love Laura and we have never met either, she just writes from her heart and is such an encourager with her honesty and style. I am happy to have found you, through her, and with the bonus of a chance to win one of these lovely rosaries for my dear friend's grandson who is doing the work at his school for his First Holy Communion. Both samples are beautiful, thank you for your generous give away.
    Blessings.
