Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Just a tip

I'm just not into blogging these days. I went all day without even checking any blogs (well, I checked this morning, but then went all day before even sitting down at the computer). Today and tomorrow we're taking a break because Noah is off, Doug is home, and Faith is sick.

Anyway, just a tip tonight, something I saw clicking around this evening. I have the American Red Cross babysitting course on our list of things for Faith to do this year for school, and found out tonight you can do it online. I think I'd still have her do an infant CPR and first aid class, but the online class looks a lot more fun (and convenient) than sitting in a classroom (I've seen those classes, and they can be very slow-going).

Go here to watch the demo and sign up.
Note: there is a fee for the class ($25 I think) and it takes four hours, but you can stop and start as needed.

  1. I've been meaning to have Meg take that course this year so she can start sitting for others.

    1. I'm certain Faith is not ready to be left alone anywhere, but this course will help her become more confident. She spends a lot of time with the twins next door, and I want her to be a bigger help to their mother.

  2. Thanks for the tip. It may come in handy now that I have an 11 year old who I may need to rely on a bit more.

Btw, I'm just not feeling like blogging (or hardly even reading blogs) for weeks now. My heart just isn't in it. I've been pondering, planning and praying a bit on where to go from here. I think it may be time for an exit. Although this isn't the first time I've thought about it, it's the first time I'm ok with it. We'll see.

    Blessings on your Tuesday!

    1. I've tried to avoid thinking about giving up completely, buy less often is fine. There are just too many blogs out there to be able to make a community any more.

    1. I am hoping her symptoms are gone today so she can dance tonight. The fever, at least, has been gone for 24 hrs. I think she got a bad cold from one of the twins we watched Friday.

  4. I have recently cut way way down...like I don't even check "Bloglovin' I just check my handful of favorites and most are ones I began with years ago. (like yours) My old favorites and a couple new ones. Life is busy. BUT winter is coming and winter will mean more time on the computer...it just will.

Thanks for the tip, I'll have the big kids watch it.

    1. I added a note above, Jamie, that the class is four hours and you have to register. I'm not sure if it's just viewing or participating. I'm sure it will be great for large families, but your kids don't need to learn stuff like "how to entertain a child!" :-)

  5. That is a great tip - thanks, Francie can really use that!

And you already know my feelings about the blog world lately . . . I do miss the days when it was a little smaller and I miss being able to come and "visit" you as much as I once did.

  6. I do know how you feel, Aimee, and I started an email to you last night and then got so tired I wasn't making sense. We'll see if I can finish it tonight!
