Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Yarning Along...

...with Ginny at Small Things.

I am still working on my green socks, though I have made a lot of headway, finishing the gusset on both and having almost completely turned the heel on one. It has taken quite a while to get to this point, and I am spending a lot of time knitting, but I have to remember that I am knitting two and when I'm done, I'm done!

The sock pattern is the diagonal lace in Socks from the Toe Up by Wendy Johnson (click on the pattern name -- look you don't even have to buy the book) and the yarn is KnitPicks Stroll Fingering in Peapod.

a picture of my heel because I love the way these heels look

My book today is The Night Fairy, which I am pre-reading for Faith to read and study in school. I am only a couple chapters in, but so far it's very descriptive, and very Faith -- a spunky little fairy. As an aside -- I love Amazon for used book sales. This little hard cover book cost me pennies. Though it was released just a few years ago, it was already taken from a school library and sold. Their loss, my gain!

  1. Ooo, I like that heel, too. :) I really want to get going on these socks. Only two more rows left on my shawl. So, close!
