Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Just when you think...

...our world just can't get any worse.

Just when you see a glimmer of hope that our culture will see the truth, will admit to the truth that a baby is a baby, even at 4 weeks, 12 weeks, 22 weeks gestation. Just when you think our world may turn a corner and acknowledge the atrocity of abortion for what it is...

You read something like this article at The American Spectator, which absolutely makes me weep with frustration and scream with anger:

It's a commentary on an article that was published in the Journal of Medical Ethics. I attempted to find the original article but then I decided I didn't have the fortitude to read it, or the comments. Call me weak. You get the gist at the Spectator without having to wade in the mud.

It's a dark day in our world, darker that we imagined it ever would be. This is what happens when people turn their back on the Light. One could never imagine the atrocity those men have suggested with the Light in their lives. There is only one who thinks this way. Imagine if society went down that road, how many people he would take to the dark side.

Because as author Daniel Allot at the Spectator suggests, it's not just about infants...oh nooo. We no longer limit the annihilation of our fellow humans to just those contained within the womb of mother. No, then it's all completely subjective depending on each circumstance. Baby was born with Spina bifida or heart defect -- what a drain on the family finances. Might as well end it before we begin to know her.... Our teenager is brain damaged from an auto accident. We don't know how bad he might get. Might as well say goodbye now... Mother has been diagnosed with MS -- she will just be a burden from them point on. Might as well get it over with now before she gets worse.

Any man or woman who voted for this president can not claim they had no part in the barbarous state our society has become. As Allot stated, he made it no secret he was in favor of infanticide long before he was campaigning for the highest office.

Obama said in a speech on the Illinois Senate floor that he could not accept that babies wholly emerged from their mother's wombs are "persons," and thus deserving of equal protection under the Constitution's 14th Amendment.

Every man or woman who knew his stand on human rights and still voted for him is culpable, like it or not. The path to hell is a slippery slope and anyone who knows the Light knows to stand way back from the edge -- you never know when your spot on the ground may begin to slide.

  1. My college age daughter told me about this the other day. It makes me so sad that anyone can believe killing a person is OK. On my knees praying about this one.

  2. I saw that a few days ago and I couldn't read it either, even the Spectator article. It's horrifying. One of my friends and I were just talking about the mess we're in and how the priests who have soft-pedaled the Church teachings in the past 50 years have helped bring this about (as much as those who voted for BO). I wonder if they recognize themselves as culpable by not telling us to keep away from the edge.

  3. Oh, my gosh, I've never heard of this and am so sad I have now.

    This is just so sad....

Are we as a society going to start putting children down like the vet does for animals?

No. That would be too humane for our sick, sick world wouldn't it?

I wrote yesterday on a life issue too, there is just so much bad and sad out there, all we can do is fall to our knees and pray.

    1. I saw your post, Jamie, and talked with my husband about it which led to him telling me about this article. I am so sad for all "the rest" as you wrote. All those precious souls that never had a chance.

  5. I had not read about this before now. I continue to pray that society won't go down that road.

Whenever I hear of horrors such as this, I think of the part in Revelation where I believe it is the martyrs who are crying out "how long before you will judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell upon the earth?"

May God have mercy on us, and on our enemies who we pray may turn to the Light.

    1. Yes, Cheryl. But moral relativists would have us believe it is not.
