Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

not funny, mom

My Joshua is taking a criminal justice sociology class this quarter and this morning they were required to visit the county jail (fortunately in a neighboring rural county and not the county in which our big city sits). I just texted him and asked, "Are you out of jail yet?"

Oh man, I fervently pray I never say that for real.

  1. Kind of goes without saying. But remember that kids have free will no matter how good a mom you are!

  2. LOL! Loved that -you are too funny!!

(I probably would have texted the same message, if I were in your shoes...)

  3. I'd have done the same--and I'd be hoping the same, as well :)

Of course, my kid would probably have texted me in the first place: Mom, my prof is sending me to jail.

  5. Sara's comment touched me the most. I am going through some things with my son, not jail, but then again, the situation is so trapping that it seems like you cannot find the right key to open the gate.

Asking for your prayers. Many thanks!

    Lovingly,
    Abbey ♥
