Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

On the ninth day...

...I have a migraine. Second in four days. There must be a correlation, but what? I'm just now having the characteristic (for me) blind spot (makes typing interesting), so the headache hasn't started.

It snowed a little last night. Just a smidge more than a dusting. But it's very windy so it looks like more than it is when big gusts blow large patches of the roofs. It looks quiet and pretty even with the wind.

Not much going on today. Shooting for nine loads of laundry. I am setting my timer on my phone for the exact time the washer takes. We'll see if the washer, and I can make it. Last day of vacation (sad face).

  1. Bummer about the migraines. I don't know how you can even think about laundry with a migraine! My husband is completely incapacitated----but then, he has me to take over!

  2. Sara, my migraines are not debilitating. I don't get sick to my stomach. That said, if someone WOULD take over, I might be inclined to be more debilitated. As it is, I'll muddle through. My mother-in-law tells me often that St. John of the Cross said "pain is in direct proportion to need for purification." I just need to learn to accept!

  3. I have occasional occular migraines (the blind spot like you mentioned with flashing lights), but I don't have much if any pain with them. I do find that lying down and covering my eyes makes them go away faster. I hope your passes quickly!
