My little drummer boy
Noah's band concert was last night. Unlike many schools, at St. C, band is a class, not an extracurricular activity. Unfortunately, that means a lot of kids don't participate because giving up one period in a school day is more than they can manage (you must give up study hall, PE or an extra language) and the band is small (the poor choir this year has only eight boys). They didn't sound too bad though, especially the percussion section, in which Noah plays. In this song he is in the back left at the drum set. The song is titled "Gettysburg" (from the motion picture soundtrack) but this is just a small bit. The loud sharp drums are him.
Mama has to brag just a little, ya know.

Good stuff....although I'm pretty sure that at most central Ohio high schools, band is a class, just like choir, with additional after school events.
ReplyDeleteThey played very well Barbara! You should be proud!
