...with Ginny.
I'm a little late to the party today, but at least I made it before bedtime.
I started working on this little sweater for Faith this week while I was sweating out the flu on the sofa. I don't recommend it (the flu) for any of my friends, but if I had any enemies I knew of I might just cough on them. It's no fun, no fun at all. And I definitely don't recommend casting on one's first sweater with a 101 fever. I started over three times, but, as they say, third time's the charm.
The pattern for this sweater came from here. I went with an inexpensive cotton yarn, because this is my first sweater and I didn't want to spend a bundle in case I botched it. But so far so good and I really like the color of the yarn. It's very cute. The pattern, thusfar, and even with a fever-muddled brain, is very easy and I like how it starts to take shape immediately. Ginny recommend Knitting Pure and Simple to me and I can see why.
My read this week is a Playaway of Atonement by Ian McEwan that I borrowed from the library.

the yarn is very cute. I am amazed that you are able to knit while at the mercy of the flu. Hope your recovery is swift.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jenny. The pattern is uncomplicated, which is amazing considering it's my first attempt at a sweater.
