Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

11/52

.
52 weeks of daily life in pictures: trials and celebrations,
the extraordinary and mundane --
whatever is unique to the week.
Join me if you like.

This pic was accidentally left on my desktop when I clicked "publish" so if you stopped by before and missed it was me, and not you.
Joshua and his girl celebrated their six month anniversary. First, I cannot believe it's been six months, and second, yes they celebrated with a dinner out (his money not mine). And he gave her six pink flowers and a note asking if she will go to his senior prom. Sweet. I took a picture before he gave it to her but don't tell. Shhhh! He still writes like he's in second grade. ;-)

Faith spent 53 of her own birthday dollars on these shoes. Never in my life have I wanted to spend $53 on shoes. I don't think she could possibly be my child. Her taste in shoes is proof. ;-) Besides being loud, they light up when she walks. Ugh.

The school table -- always a mish mash of stuff.

My view of the hockey game cheering gallery. They don't look too cheerful, do they? The Blue Jackets lost. Again.

A trip to World Market is more cheerful. We went to pick up dad's "liquid bread."

Choosing just one treat can be very difficult.

Top o' the morning to ya.

Sunshine and the great outdoors. Finally.

The sweater. I'm officially tired of working on it. The sleeves are bothersome. I like dpns but not all the twisting and turning. When the sleeves are finished, however, the sweater is done.

Irish sweets -- an Irish Jig dessert and Shamrock Shakes.

Below you'll find a linky list because so many lovely women decided to join me in my 52 Weeks project. There are no rules (except the two below) -- if you want to start your 52 Weeks this week, go for it! I will keep the links up until next Wednesday, so you have almost a week to do it.

(1) Make sure you copy and paste the URL of your 52 Weeks blog post ( and not your main blog URL). You could also use of Flickr photo page if that's how you do things.
(2) Include a link back here in your blog post or flickr photo page.

  1. I think Faith and Anna are kindred spirits! Those shoes are proof ... Anna would LOVE those shoes. She actually found a "knock off" pair at Target. They were still $24, but when we went after Christmas, they were $6! She was SO excited!!

  2. Great pics...Faith sounds like my Elizabeth, who last summer spent 58.00 (her babysitting money) on a pair of denim shorts. ICK! At least they were modest (longer leg length) shorts...I suspect the high price was for that tiny little label with the designer's name. HA! Have a wonderful weekend, Barbara!

  3. Sarah -- I never thought to look for knock offs! Ugh!

    Cheryl,
Yes, Faith and Elizabeth are two peas from the same pod -- they have their priorities, right?

  4. My daughter would have bought those shoes at age 9. Actually, I wouldn't put it past her to buy those shoes at age 15!
