Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Good/Bad Friday

.
Good: 25 years

Good: the original cake topper on a fresh white bakery cake

Bad: gray hair and wrinkles

Good: a dozen roses in the same color as those I carried in my bouquet (he's good isn't he?)

Good: Pumpkin Cinnamon rolls baking for my not-so-little boy who has croup

Bad: croup

Good: Christ the King Sunday and one week until Advent!

Good: Thanksgiving week

Bad: all the work that comes with Thanksgiving week

Good: sweet baby boy colors wrapped up in a soft flannel backing

Good: a kitchen hamper

Bad: it took me 25 years to figure out that I needed one

Good: lots and lots of new rosaries

This is one of three I am donating for a silent auction

Good: True Devotion to Mary

Good: a weekend with nothing on the agenda (except cleaning, cleaning, cooking, and cleaning) -- Yes, that's all good!

Have a blessed, restful, glorious weekend, dear friends.

Christ Jesus Victor, Christ Jesus Ruler, Christ Jesus Lord and Redeemer!

  1. Love the photo of you and your husband! Congrats once again!!

That quilt is darling, and I already commented on your rosary blog about that GORGEOUS green one =)

And a kitchen hamper! What a great idea! Right now I have a basket under my sink that is working out well. Although it could be a bit bigger ...

So looking forward to this wonderful time of year, too. Try not to work too hard, and enjoy the weekend!

  2. In looking at that picture, it's hard to believe that either of you could have been married 25 years. Congratulations!

  3. Pretty much all good, sounds like, except for the croup! I hope he's better soon. Pumpkin cinnamon rolls should help!

  4. Congrats!

And THANK YOU! So I'm not crazy for thinking I need a laundry basket in my kitchen! I usually just throw my dirty towels on the floor into a corner to put them into the laundry room later..but..AHH, my husband will occasionally pick one up and use it as his dinner napking, thinking it had just falled to the ground. EW! I wipe all sorts of things w/ my kitchen towels. Anyways, hamper it is, I'm getting one.
I think the boys need their own in their bathroom too so they can take their OWN laundry down when it's full.

  5. What an awesome quilt! Whoever received that is one lucky baby ;-)

BTW, I asked Lawrence why we didn't get married at SC. His excuse was that we lived in Cincinnati. Maybe we can renew our vows there on our 25th!!!

That pumpkin roll looks divinely delicious. I'm coming over...

  9. croup be gone!

Where did you find that hamper? I've been married 18 and need one - don't make me figure it out at 25, please?!?!?! ;)

Love the picture of the two of you. Beautiful/handsome couple.

    Cake looks yummy.

All the work? It's worth it, and I think you know it. ;)

May God continue to bless each and every one of you. Amen.
