Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

The Sweetest Rose...

.

...is that which comes to a mother from her son.

I've never been "big" on flowers. They are nice, yes, but I usually view the cost of cut flowers "a waste," especially roses. I always tell my husband, "don't buy me flowers, they just die." And after almost 25 years, he rarely does.

Yesterday, however, a bouquet of roses arrived, and my husband says, "I swooned."

"But, they are from my son," I said. "Oh, they smell so sweet."

It truly is the thought that counts, because they could be daisies from the field and I would swoon. Truly. But they are roses. From my son. 24 of them. Aren't they gorgeous?

  10. Funny, I told my husband the same thing, years ago, having the same feelings about wasting money and the flowers dying... and he hasn't given me flowers in years, either! I have at times regretted this!
This year, I too received 2 doz. roses, but they were from my parents. How wonderful it was!
