Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Sick Stinks

.

Peach and I woke up this morning with sore throats. I'm thinking we brought them home from Disney on Ice. I'm glad my mom and I agreed that would be the last "on ice" event. I must have been crazy to attend an event like that smack dab in the middle of cold and flu season. I'll be grateful if all we have are sore throats. Peach is on the sofa under blankets watching The Incredibles. I think I'll go get into a nightgown and join her.

Pictures during school today. As you can imagine, we didn't accomplish a lot.

By the way (divulging big secrets here), her name is Faith. I call her Peach, Kitty, Sugar, Butter Bean, Pumpkin, Lovey, and a number of other nicks, but her name is Faith. Faith Frances. Now it's out there.

  1. So sorry you two are under the weather. Get cozy, and take care of you and your sweet girl. BTW, she has a very pretty name! =) I like it a lot.

  3. Sore throats are awful. I'm sorry!

When I was with my brother, I was getting a sore throat with post nasal drip which I knew would negate my whole trip, so I went out and bought some Vit. D at WalMart. I bought 5,000 IU capsules and took 10. Yes, 10. Next day, it was gone! I took 50,000 for two more days and then went back to my usual 4,000 per day.

Oh, and my word verification is "whine". LOL. Feel better!

  4. Ah, Faith...I had thought Grace, but Faith...Faith suits her and her mum! Hope your sickness is of short duration. I don't want to be the prophetess of doom but our flu started out with sore, scratchy throats. Like you, we'd avoided so many of the public pitfalls but let our guard down in February. You play, you pay...boy, are we paying! Prayers for you, friend...

  6. What a grand name. I feel better having divulged my kids real names on my blog recently. :)

Hope you're both on the mend straight away!

  7. I saw you use Faith a few weeks ago on a blog post (about the dog) and I wondered if it was her real name - so pretty!

Hope you all feel better soon!
