Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

It's not even April Fools' Day

.
Still, I woke up to this today.

With only one little daffodil still showing color -- all the rest are buried.

Boo, hoo.

  3. I KNOW! I was so mad! I almost slipped on the ice this morning.
My birthday is in early April, and I was born during a blizzard, so this should be no surprise. But still! Go away, snow!

  4. You Northerners have a special kind of strength... one I used to identify with! (sort of)
Many prayers for you all as you await a glimpse of spring.

  5. Beth,
The sun is shining (praise be) and with any luck the white stuff will be gone by the evening.

    Regan,
Daffodils, being cool-weather flowers, can often survive a late cold blast. I've even see them survive a light snow. This was about three inches, however, and I'm not certain they'll make it. They had just popped open this week, too! Boo, hoo.

Keep saying it, Emily. Maybe the snow will listen! ;-)

Thanks, Meg. I thought we were having spring -- at least earlier this week we were. The kids were in flip flops and those pretty daffodils popped open. Such is Ohio.

  6. i was reading something about bulbs the other day that said instead of over wintering them-buy some in the spring that have slightly sprouted and plant them in your beds. that might work for you.
since there is no danger of snow for us it wouldn't really make a difference, but you might try this!
i know how devastating it can be to have your flower dreams crushed. literally.
