Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

I think I'm going to be sick...

.
Our local paper published an article yesterday about the pens our president used to sign into law a health care bill which has no hope of providing real health care. In line to receive one of the pens used to sign the bill was, not only Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, Kathleen Sebelius, and Vicki Kennedy, Catholic wife of Ted Kennedy, but also Sister Carol Keehan, president of the Catholic Health Association (an organization which speaks for neither the Catholic Church or health professionals).

Like so many things in this world, the hardest thing about being Catholic is my fellow man.

  1. Yeah, that part about made me sick too. And I had to read all the major state papers--Plain Dearler, et al.--the day after it passed. That was NOT a good Monday.

  2. I get sick to my stomach, too. I got really ill before the final vote (Friday?) when I heard some Dem reading the list of Catholic orders who support the bill. I don't even watch the news, but happened to catch that.

  4. that is such a terrible outrage. i guess the only comfort i can off you is this: just be thankful that you don't live in a super liberal state like CA. everything here makes me SICK. it is terrible. and it is not going to get any better.

worry not, dear barb. have faith. and PRAY. tons. God is NOT a disinterested party to all that is happening here. He is well aware and i for one, want to try my hardest to be on HIS good side when He decides to exact His revenge. and you will be too.
keep spreading HIS message. spreading devotion to the Cross and the Rosary.
for it is by these things. these weapons that the faithful will be saved!

    hugs across the miles.

  5. The reaction I hear most at church is, "I don't know what all the fuss is about. This was needed!" Where to begin...? Thank God for the Knights of Columbus! They stand for all life.
