Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Knitting Pretty

.

A few weeks ago, I was online looking at some knitting supplies. I bought these (thanks, Sara), and a couple of new needles (just a couple!), and I drooled at all the pretty colors. I also looked at this, but didn't buy it. First of all, it's black (I'm not that chic), and it was $15, and if I'm going to spend $15 on knitting supplies, it's going to be for needles or yarn.

Anyway, I knew I could make one myself.

So, this afternoon, I fished through my fabric stash (actually I grabbed the first two pieces that were big enough) and made two fabric cases, one for me and one for you (I couldn't decide which fabric I liked best).

I know you girls like a giveaway, so I thought I'd share. Mine is the yellow one, yours is the striped. How did I decide? The striped one has fewer sewing imperfections (always give away your best!) !

Leave your name and a way to contact you in the com box by Tuesday at midnight!

  5. Anne,
I only have three or four crochet hooks, but they are in the far right pocket -- yes, it works for crochet!

  6. These are so pretty!

Don't put me in the giveaway, though. I only have one pair of knitting needles and they're getting rusty.

Or rather, they would be getting rusty if they weren't made of wood. ;)

(My word verif. is "undepin". Ha! I should hope not!)

  8. Both of them are so pretty! I was just thinking the other day that I needed to pull out some fabric and try to make one of these for my overwhelming needle collection! But maybe you'll save me the trouble by choosing my name ;)

  11. What a wonderful knitting helper! My needles are packed up at the moment as our household goods are in transit. But, I'd love to have a way to contain them once we get moved into a house this spring.

  12. Pretty. I've got needles everywhere in glass jars, baskets, etc. I should make one but if I win, it'd be so much easier. :)
