Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

For the Sixth Day of Christmas...

.

...the six of us. This is our Christmas Eve picture, taken indoors in our family room, which unfortunately caused great red eye, especially in Peach. She was in formal wear because I allowed her to dress in her flower girl dress that she was never able to wear. It was very special for her.

  3. Yay! A photo! That's even better than five pounds of potatoes.

So tell me--where do the strawberry blondes come from? I can ask a cheeky question like that, as Angela is our lone blondie belonging to two very dark-haired parents.

You look lovely, by the way.

  4. Aimee and Jamie, Thank you. You are too kind. I think I look tired, maybe from cooking for two days? And my mother continually tells me I have dark circles under my eyes. Mothers do that, ya know.

    Cheeky Margaret :-),
The strawberry blondes run in my family. It's a gene that shows up about once a generation. My father's mother was a strawberry blonde and she had one or two blonde children (but not my dad). My brother is the only blonde in my family and my daughter is really the only one in her generation (my niece Rachel is naturally blonde but not quite as blond as her picture below -- that's from a bottle). My Noah is a redhead, and my dad and I were redheads. When we lived in Tampa, my hair was almost strawberry from the year-long sun, but it darkened to red and eventually greyed with age. I often think that when people see us as a family, they must think my children are adopted!

  13. Thanks Kimberly, Lately it feels rare to have us all in one place at one time!

Thanks, Wendy. You are so kind.

Regina, If he had his glasses on you'd really have to look twice! Not really, but my youngest brother gets mistaken for him all the time. I think it's the salt and pepper hair and his brown eyes!

Thank you, Sarah, I enjoy reading your blog as well.

Jessica, Thank you and Happy New Year to you and your lovely family also.
