Between having my hands in a bucket and my head in the oven (although not literally), I wasn't certain if I'd have time this week for blogging, so I decided to start the week with a poem that I am thankful to have read in a Seton reader. I have ten of my favorite family members joining my family this week to give thanks for that which we have been given by Our Great God. This poem reminds us of all the greatness that we have to look forward to.
Grace
by Frances Frieseke
O Lord of all things good,
Giver of grain
And harvester of beauty,
You who have made the gold
Of sun and wheat,
Silver of moon, and grape,
Warmth of the hearth
And shimmer of white cloth,
Grant that we may remember
Here, seated at Your feast,
How you were cold and poor
And very small
And slept on hay
That we might have at last
Far more, far more than this.
