Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Compromise

.

Yesterday, the devil and the angel on my shoulder learned to compromise. Instead of fetching my sick college boy home, I stocked up on chicken noodle soup (in a dorm room you get Campbell's instead of mom's), lemon-lime soda, tea bags, cough drops, tissues and some snacks for college boy's lingering cold and stomach virus. He was still lying pretty low yesterday so I took the care package to the dorm (along with some daily vitamins). The mother in me was mildly satisfied, and I think he appreciated the TLC.

Last night we had a conversation about eating better and getting more sleep. I know he's an adult, but this is his first time away from home, and I'm not convinced he's doing it right. I'm not impressed with the other students (and the RA) on his floor (although a couple of girls did bring him some soup the other day), and I think it's a 24-hour-a-day party. Methinks college boy is enjoying college life a tad too much.

On a lighter note, this little Peach was dressed up as a servant girl all day yesterday. I have no idea where she came up with it, but I was served imaginary cups of tea all day, in between school subjects. In the picture you can't see the other baby blanket that served as her apron (that's an old baby blanket on her head). She's coloring Charlotte's St. Martin here.

And these gorgeous blooms have been sitting on my front hall table since last week. A little ray of sunshine in a dreary November. I just had to share.
