Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

The Snow of the Year

.
In central Ohio we don't get much snow. A few inches a few times a year is about it. We're just south enough that we don't get lake-effect snow, so we depend on the combination of a cold snap and some precipitation to get a few inches once in a while.

So, it's pretty big when 14 inches are in the forecast. We already have 9 or 10 inches on the ground and it's coming down.

The dog (a short-legged Corgi) jumped off the front porch and into the snow right over her head -- it was a good laugh. We have a level 2 snow emergency, so I'm very happy that I got to the store. With nothing to do but laundry and help Francis finish his Victorian England research paper, I'm happy, happy.

I thought I'd share some pics out my back door. It's very pretty, and calm for the moment. The wind is supposed to pick up though, and that I don't like with all those big trees.

If you're in the path of this weather, friend, stay warm and stay inside, and enjoy it while it's still winter. I'm not even talking about Spring.

This last one was taken about 5 minutes after the others.
You probably can't tell, but the snow is falling heavily.

.
This morning the birds weren't out,
but they've finally decided to brave it for a bite to eat.
