Thanks, Janelle. Most of it comes from Web Gallery of Art ( http://www.wga.hu/ ) a great resource for public domain art. My oldest son and I had a discussion the other day because an art history professor he had at Ohio State did her research in Dutch paintings of the Virgin Mary, a particular favorite of mine. We wondered if any one person had been the subject of so much art, even Our Lord and Savior. I'd love to audit that art history class. Maybe some day!
