Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

(5/8)...Streaming (mission accomplished edition)

We've been busy around the house, and when I say "we" I mean my beloved and I, as I can't say the kids have been too constructive lately. Doug has been busy in the yard and I have been busy in the house, with sewing and rosary-making. Fortunately for you, it's been rather peaceful on my blog with the Blessed Mother visiting.

I am sharing a glimpse of what we have been up to with these little collages, which took an obscene anount of time to make, and since I am taking a friend to dinner in just a few hours, I'd say today is a wash except for getting a few packages to the Post Office. It's almost 3 pm and all I have eaten for lunch is a granola bar, which was rather yummy, if I do say so myself (I made them myself).

Doug has been trying to get grass to grow on this hill for years and years. Most of the time his seed gets washed into the creek by a big gullywasher rain. It's finally growing and is rather lush this time of year. It stays shady in the ravine, but he must have finally gotten the right blend of seed to grow there. The other shots are glimpses of the back yard.

Faith's little summer top and bottom set. Two down (the other was for Doug's niece) and two to go. I also got a top made in between. I love the color on this outfit. It looks like a color Jacqueline Kennedy would wear.

Just some random rosaries and key fobs. See, I've been busy! That top one on the left (green) went to a man in Ireland. He wanted a St. Michael center and two St. Michael medals. That's a serious prayer warrior! I even used little hand grenades for Our Father beads.

I hope you have a good remainder of the week. Come back tomorrow and see Our Heavenly Mother. She likes seeing you.

  1. Hi Barbara!

Your collages are lovely! Your yard is so beautiful! We have no trees, since we have a newly constructed home, and I do miss not having trees and shrubs. Yes, they are a lot of work, but they are so enjoyable, too. One day ... And Faith's outfit is adorable! Anna is always asking if there are any photos of her friend on your blog ;-) I'll have to show these to her ... Lastly, as always, your Rosaries are lovely. Olivia LOVED hers, BTW. I keep meaning to tell you that. Her first response was to start writing you a thank-you note, but it was already late and her First Holy Communion was the very next morning, so I said we would finish it with her others ;-) Those key fobs are fabulous, too. I may have to add one to my wish list!

Enjoy your dinner out! That is always a treat.

  2. What a pretty, peaceful yard.
I love the color of Faith's outfit. I'm a fan of all things blue anyway. It's so sweet and retro. When the weather gets hot, that outfit will be just right!

  3. Your backyard is gorgeous...everything so lush and green. Miss Faith and her outfit are just precious and those beads are divine! :)

  4. Oh, Barbara; how I do envy your energy and "productibility"! Now that I am a retiree, once more, I hope to try working at becoming a domestic diva! I can dream, can't I?

  5. That green in the yard is so pretty and bright. I love the new green of spring, though we've already mellowed into the dark, mature green of summer!

Beautiful rosaries and key fobs, as usual. I admire everyone who does handiwork and finishes their projects. My goal this summer is to super-simplify my home and my life so I can finish things, too!

  6. Oh, the green of your yard is simply delicious! And look, no weeds! Just grass. I will only have to imagine that for now!

    Faith's outfit is beyond adorable.

  7. Your yard looks beautiful.
    The rosaries also.
    Daughter too!

I appreciate your comments -- sometimes I feel like I'm talking to myself!
