A hunting I will go...
Do you have a pretty set list of blogs that you read regularly? I do, and that list hasn't changed much in probably a good year or more. I'm kind of like that -- set in my ways.
This morning I spent a good half hour adding some blogs to my google reader. I added some of the lovely ladies at Catholic Cuisine -- a few whose blogs weren't already on my list, and a couple more that I enjoyed when I occasionally chanced by. It's kind of strange to go looking for new blogs -- like looking for a new friend.
If you are a reader here, please leave me a comment so I can add you to my reader -- I'm branching out! ;-)

I do that sometimes, too. And then, sometimes all the blogs get too overwhelming and I have to purge. I do like making new friends, though!
ReplyDeleteMake new friends,
ReplyDeletebut keep the old.
One is silver,
the other is gold.
A circle is round,
it has no end.
That's how long,
I will be your friend.
:-D
:-)
ReplyDeleteI only purge the ones I lurk on. ;-)
Funny, I just did the opposite. I had to purge because of too many in there. Many had not updated since last year so they were the first to go. And others I had put in there as a type of bookmark that was no longer needed.
ReplyDelete... of course your blog, dear Barbara, was not cut. :)
I read your blog Barbara - albeit quietly - I don't end up leaving a lot of comments.
ReplyDeleteI have had to clean my Google Reader too - just too many to read.
But I have always enjoyed your blog, and I like it that you post often.
Have a great day!
Kelly,
ReplyDeleteI was composing a comment on your blog at almost the same time you were leaving one here. I think it's a sign. ;-)
Thanks, Angela. Of course, I read your blog as well, but the unfortunate part of Google reader is we don't always click over to comment. I need to do more of that! Have a great weekend. Hope you don't run into anymore elk!
ReplyDeleteI'm a reader and follower. Enjoy reading, however, commenting on any blogs has become irregular as I try to do it one handed most often (my little one is in the other :). Stop on by if you can!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking the time to comment, Sarah. Adding you to my list. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's always fun to find new friends. I'll be checking out your updated blogroll--as someone said above, there are some I need to delete from my reader as they've gone dark now.
ReplyDeleteI think about this from time to time. I do add a TON of blogs to my reader...usually because I felt a connection w/ that person, or they commented back to me or something. But I'm a little weird like this, and it's not personal, but for me, there are some blogs that I read for information - like how to do stuff, and I just bookmark those outside my reader. Then there are others that I read b/c I feel like I'm friends with that person (like you, Barbara!) and I like that that person comments once in a blue moon. I also always visit the blog of someone who just commented on my blog for the first time. Of course, for me, blogging is about connection with people. For others, it's a business - so of course they can't go reading 600 blogs. =)
ReplyDeleteI just did this same thing within the last few days. I needed to take out some out and I'd really like to add a few that 'fit' me. I did search a little, but that takes so much time! Looking through the reading lists of favorite bloggers is helpful, though.
ReplyDeleteWhen reading time is limited, I want to read what is interesting or uplifting or leads closer to Christ, ya know.
Hi Barbara,
ReplyDeleteYou know I love your blog! You're most welcome to visit me. : )

Btw, just purged my list, too, like some others have said. I have found that I just don't have the time to read them, not that I follow that many. But I do agree that it's nice to find new ones occasionally. I've been seeking new cooking ones. That's been fun.
