Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

If you...

...ask your husband which of his drills is the best one for you to use to take the shelves off the basement walls, he might just hop up off the sofa and do the job himself.

I think he might need to practice some detachment from his power tools, but I'll just take this as willingness to help with my project. ;-)

  1. You know, you could write a book about that following the book "If you give a mouse a cookie". ;) It's so true, though. If I start to tinker with something with his tools, he's right there. Thanks for the laugh.

  2. Oh you really could, Sarah. You better believe I am tucking that tactic away for future projects! :-)

  3. Lol...I wish. I usually try to do it myself, and then when I really need another hand, or really mess something up, I call him, and he knows he has to help. =)

  4. I really was completely willing to do it myself, Elisa. He told me he was afraid I would strip the screw heads and then he would have to get them out with much more effort. But I think he was just protecting his power tools. ;-)

  5. So funny, Barbara. This has become a joke between my husband and me over the years. Anytime I need something hung I ask him where his drill is. He hops right up everytime. Your post had me cracking up.
