Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Smile...it's good exercise

.
Today has been a busy day for me. I spent the morning instructing Faith in English, then had to transport a forgotten water bottle to my son in gym class, 20 minutes away, and then I visited my mother-in-law, who is recovering from hip replacement. On the way home I realized I had taken care of two Corporal Works of Mercy and one Spiritual Work of Mercy today, so it was all good. ;-)

I wanted to take a minute and post this quote from today's mediation in the Magnificat. Written by Elisabeth Leseur (an incredible story there!), it is probably the most profound thing I have read in months.

"Silence is sometimes an energetic act,
and smiling is, too."

Hope you're having a great day.

"look around oneself for proud sufferers in need, find them, and give them the alms of our heart, of our time, of our tender respect."

  5. Sara,
I'm not sure why I'm a sweetheart, but thanks! :-)

    Regan,
We must pray to her so she can get her miracles. Have you read her diary? I have not, but plan to very soon. Her husband, who was an atheist, apparently found her diary after she died and converted to Catholicism, then became a priest! Sounds like one miracle already!

    You are very welcome, FSM!

  7. That's a good way to measure the day--how many works of mercy did you accomplish? Great idea :)

BTW, I am reading "The Forgotten Garden" on your recommendation. Started off a little slow, but I am HOOKED now.
