Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Phil 4:6-7

18/52

18/52.
52 weeks of daily life in pictures: trials and celebrations,
the extraordinary and mundane --
whatever is unique to the week.
Join me if you like.

Another prom -- this time hers.
Kremówka Papieska -- to celebrate our beloved Blessed Pope John Paul II

The cover of the April Magnificat framed. Another step in my effort to bring the living Lord into our home.

Hump day cupcakes -- yum. (Recipe here)

On Thursday the sun came out and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Unbelievable considering we've had weeks of rain. More rain in the forecast today but yesterday was glorious.

The annual unfurling of the hostas. I love those curly leaves.

Silvery green, dewy leaves.

Dappled sun, refreshing and new.

Azalea bloom just waiting for its time.

My very first wire wrapped rosary. It took forever and a day to make, so these, I think, will be rare. I also noticed I need an eye exam and new glasses because I had a really hard time seeing what I was doing. I have always been nearsighted, I suppose if I'm no longer neither nearsighted nor farsighted, I'm just plain blind.

Lovely cookies from Holland and tea from Ireland. If I can't actually go to Europe, at least I can enjoy tea like I can.

Below you'll find a linky list because so many lovely women decided to join me in my 52 Weeks project. There are no rules (except the two below) -- if you want to start your 52 Weeks this week, go for it! I will keep the links up until next Wednesday, so you have almost a week to do it.

(1) Make sure you copy and paste the URL of your 52 Weeks blog post ( and not your main blog URL). You could also use of Flickr photo page if that's how you do things.
(2) Include a link back here in your blog post or flickr photo page.

  1. How fun for your son to go to two proms...not so fun for mama?

They can compare the two and rate which was best!

  5. The tea and cookies remind me of my mother-in-law . . . although she calls them biscuits. She always has her tea in the afternoon. You can take the woman out of Scotland, but she'll never leave tea behind!

meanwhile, I really want some chocolate cupcakes now for some reason . . . :)

    happy weekend, Barbara.
