Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us

.

To commemorate the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows on September 15, I will give away this Our Lady of Sorrows chaplet to one lovely reader.

The chaplet is made with caramel-colored Mother of Pearl Ave beads separated with ivory and silver-lined white seed beads. The Paters are ivory Druk glass beads with flower petal shaped spacers.

The prayers of the chaplet, one version of which has become very popular recently with the story of Immaculée Ilibagiza and her devotion to the chaplet, are beautiful, and like the rosary bring us closer to Jesus through His Holy Mother. I am amazed at how many people find me through the internet looking for an Our Lady of Sorrows chaplet. I am so happy to help others find a greater love for our Our Lord and His mother through this particular devotion.

Just leave your name and a way to contact you in the comment box (or email me) by Tuesday at midnight for a chance to win.

  19. This is a new devotion to me (I'm a relatively recent convert) - but it really does speak to the tremendous sorrow Our Lady must feel looking at the world today. It seems so much evil is present and so little good.

The chaplets and rosaries you make are truly beautiful and are an offering unto Our Lord and His Mother all by themselves.
