Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Panic is setting in...

.

As the last week of Advent rolls along, I'm starting to get more than a little nervous. No cookies, no wrapped gifts, not even a lit tree! I feel like Kevin...how 'bout you?

  1. Okay, 8 days is pretty scary. Thanks for putting it into concrete numbers----I wasn't scared before.

  2. Ok, that widget ticking away there is NOT helping! LOL

    Baking is next week.
Cards and presents and sending out packages is this week.
I can't wait until this week is over.

    :P

  3. Yes, a bit of panic here too...gifts are purchased and wrapped, but we need a tree plus those ornaments high up in the attic. I hope to bake on Friday and Saturday...

  4. Exactly the same for me, Barbara! My husband is taking his time testing the lights that won't light on the tree. I have no gifts wrapped; no cards done; and we're going out of town to be with my husband's family for Christmas so naturally I'm not ready for that either. I'm waiting for the Christchild with joyful anticipation though! ;)

  5. I feel the same way!!! I did get some cookies made. Tree is still bare-nakeed! No presents. yikes!

ps...I would rather clean up 10 cat puke piles then 1 dog turd. I feel for ya...I really really do!

  6. I managed to get the parcels out on time for the big kids/grandchildren so that was a milestone again this year for me not to have to depend on express pricings. As for deadlines, we've had a huge amount of snow overnight so I'm off to have some outdoor time to refresh my soul and make my heart happy (love this stuff!). I'm sure when I come back inside, everything will seem rosy lovely. Deadlines? Ha, always. Good luck. grin, grin

  8. I'm right there with you, Barbara! No cookies, only 4 wrapped presents, no cards mailed out ... AHHH!!! Thankfully, we have a pretty open weekend, and nothing on the calendar next week (not even school!)

One thing at a time, right?! Enjoy all the preparations. And it's OK if everything does NOT get done this year. Really, it is OK!!!
