Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Wistful

.
I have mentioned before that my Peach is a very sunny child. She gets into her share of trouble, but it never brings her down, at least not for long. Yesterday evening she got herself into trouble when I called her for dinner. She was playing down the street with our neighbor's grandchildren and she pretended not to hear me. "What?" she yelled back when I called. "What?" And then she went back to play. Whenever my neighbor's grandchildren visit, Peach has a tendency to get herself into trouble. I don't know if they are a bad influence or if she just makes poor choices when she is with them. Whatever it is, I am continually renewed in my decision to homeschool her -- it's distinctly possible that she'd constantly be in trouble in school.

After dinner she was not permitted out again. Doug was checking his email on his phone in the living room where she was wistfully watching their play...and chatting him up all the while.

and it always hard for me to discipline that girl. not just because she is my only girl. but because most of the time she is so sweet. but there are those times....
which is why she will DEFINITELY always be at home with mama.
but you totally understand. which makes me feel good. like i am not the ONLY one!
