Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Brain Food for Students

.

Thanks to Ann at Holy Experience, I found some great new student resources that can be found on my sidebar under "Brain Food for Students." Ann sends her students to the computer when they are in between assignments and she is working with another child. I love that idea (as long as my student doesn't go to ESPN.com instead).

Isn't this picture gorgeous? I found it at "The Big Picture." I scrolled down and saw a captivating photo of a glacier and then noticed in the cutline that a member of the Ohio State Byrd Polar Research Center was pictured. College boy worked for the center last summer, so it caught my attention. I clicked to "More Photos" and found a treasure trove of gorgeous photography of Greenland. The story... "After almost 300 years under Danish rule, the island of Greenland has just taken a big step toward sovereignty." Be sure to share these great resources with your students.

  1. Hi Barbara,

You can watch a web cam of a glacier melting in Greenland. The website is http://sermitsiaq.gl/icecam/. My oldest and I will check out web cams from around the world to see what is going on. There is a cool one of the locks working on the Panama Canal. It is amazing what is available on the internet!

    Have a good weekend,

    Beth

  2. Thanks for the tip, Beth. Yes, the Internet is awesome (if mom keeps hold of the steering wheel!).
