Though I'm not normally much of a television watcher, this weekend I was most grateful for some down time and some good movies being rerun on cable. They were not exactly, "old movies" (in the normal genre of old movies that I watch), but old enough to be considered "good old movies." Doug and I watched Legends of the Fall on Saturday evening -- which has to be in the Top Ten Most Tragic Movies Ever. And yesterday afternoon while the children and Doug were all busy doing something else, I caught Groundhog Day, which is always entertaining. Last night Doug and I watched Rocky II with the boys, and then had a debate as to which Rocky was the best.
Good stuff.

Sounds like a good weekend. I just started a movie today that my movie-reviewer son wants me to watch---Away from Her. A tearjerker, I'm sure, since Julie Christie as Alzheimer's.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, yes on Legends of the Fall. I mean, how many bad things can happen to one guy?!
ReplyDeleteI watched The Wizard of Oz and the original Sabrina yesterday. That was lots of fun.
Hey Sarah -- let me know how you like it -- or will your son post it on his blog?
ReplyDeleteEmily -- Peach watched The Wizard of Oz over weekend, too -- she never gets tired of it!
