Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Summer Gratitude

Elizabeth is having a Grateful Summer. I'm thinking on those lines, too. Especially on days when I have one teen arguing about every thing, and the other teen doing what he wants no matter what I say.

I need to focus on the positive.

Today I am grateful that my little girl still grabs my hand in parking lots, and still likes to crawl in bed with me on summer mornings.

This morning she busy cracking rocks. At least she was until I caught her with her father's woodworking tools.

  1. {{{Barbara}}} Thank you for the timely reminder. I'm adopting the attitude of gratitude as well. In addition to praying the rosary, I'll use the beads to count all the many blessings God has given my family and friends. I'll be praying for you. Please pray for me too. :)

  2. I love that Peach was cracking rocks. Do you know how many times I have had to tell my kids to not to that? A) ruin dad's tools and I'm toast for not noticing and, B) paying to replace the cracked/chipped driveway to our rental property holders . . . ah, not good. But, anyway, several times. My kids are older, too, so you would think once was enough. Nope.

    Good reminder on the gratitude.

    You have my prayers.

  3. I'm so proud that she was wearing her protective eyewear!

I'm all for gratitude. Sometimes it is sorely lacking here.

  4. I'm impressed that she thought to use goggles. We used to crack rocks by THROWING THEM against a bigger rock. No protective eyewear, either.
