Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Fifth Floor, Lingerie

.

Well, if ever a man stopped by here before, I've likely scared him away with two posts about intimate apparel. I guess I'll go for one more, just in case any lingered (poor grandpa, I get him here with Peachy pictures, and then I scare him away).

Last evening, I went shopping for some nightgowns and intimate undergarments (panties). The more gray hair I get, the closer I get to actually being a grandma, the less I actually want to look like one. I threw away my old white cotton panties, and tattered flannel nightgowns (they were so thin you could almost see through them -- unfortunately not in a sexy way), and bought some pretty things. Not Victoria Secret pretty, just not grandma practical.

It was very refreshing to buy some things just because they were pretty, and felt nice. I could get used to it. Frankly, I didn't know what I was missing. My husband might actually think he slipped into a bed in another woman's house. Uh-oh.

  1. It's hard to justify spending money on things like this for ourselves, but it's so good that you did! Enjoy your new pretty things =)

  6. Sarah -- I am. I feel pretty, oh so pretty... :-)

Thanks, Regan. You are too kind.

Cheryl, I both weep and rejoice and the thought of mother daughter bra shopping!

Sarah, I love flannels, too, but just you wait until you're all gray on top. You'll be flinging those flannels out the window!

Sara -- no sirens here -- no sirree!
