This week brings transitions to my home. I won't go into detail to protect the privacy of those individuals involved, but let's just say they're not all pleasant. In fact, really nothing is very pleasant right now. Which is why I took great comfort in today's responsorial psalm:
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
In verdant pastures he gives me repose;
Beside restful waters he leads me;
he refreshes my soul.
He guides me in right paths
for his name's sake.
Even though I walk in the dark valley
I fear no evil; for you are at my side
With your rod and your staff
that give me courage.
You spread the table
before me
in the sight of my foes;
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Only goodness and kindness follow me
all the days of my life;
And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
for years to come.
Ps 23:1-3a, 3b-4, 5, 6
.
Prayers, Barbara, to get thru the week with peace and grace. Hugs to you.

ReplyDeletePraying for you, Barb...
ReplyDeleteYou'll be in my prayers. This psalm has very special meaning to me, as it was my step-dad's very favorite prayer. It's been a little over a month now since his death, and I continue to see this psalm EVERYWHERE! Grace and peace to you!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering, when I saw a hint of something in your recipe blog. I'm adding my prayers as well. Hope things all work out for the good--soon :)
