Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

To Do

.

Over the weekend I did not get done the things that were on my list of things to do. After picking up college boy on Saturday, I started his laundry, and made his favorite dessert. And then, just as I was about to get into some housework, Peach, with a sad, pouty little face, handed me two lengths of fabric (that I bought way back then), that she had found wherever I had stashed them, and said, "You never made my skirt, mommy." Ugh. Why didn't I hide it better?

Well, it wasn't my intention to not sew her skirt. Other things just became priorities. Isn't that how it always works? We intend to do one thing, and then something else moves in and says, "No, do me first" -- just like spoiled kids.

So, I put away the projects for the afternoon and made her skirt. And here she is, pretty in pink for Sunday Mass (and the weather was so gorgeous, no coats were required).

So today I will do those things that didn't get done over the weekend:

sweep

launder

scrub

dust

no blog

  12. Regan,
Sounds like great Valentine's Day presents. My boys love homemade jammie pants.

PS No, the sweater came from her Godfather for Christmas. It's a Hartstrings -- a real luxury. It's soft as baby's skin.

    Dirtdartwife,
The weather was great, but it didn't do much to entice me to clean --- more to sit with the sun on my face. Be like a cat!

    Kimberly,
And the taste of spring weather we had certainly enhanced her look!

    Thanks, Rita!

    Sarah,
I didn't get everything done, but I caught up on laundry, which is a good thing!!

    Regina,
He does his laundry at school, but (like a man) he washes everything together. When he comes home I separate and soak the whites in bleach (and wash the towels and sheets in hot water -- ugh!).

    Michelle,
    Thank you!

    Jamie,
Sorry to be so mean ;o) but today's high was 59 degrees. Very unseasonable though and it will go back down any day.

    Sarah,
She picked out the color herself. We were lucky that the sweater matched so well!

    Cheryl,
You are so right. Life's too short!
