Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Real Women

.
Michelle wrote a review on her blog about Real Women, Real Saints. It sounds like a book every Catholic woman needs to have in her arsenal (memory) -- stories of how real women dealt with life's difficulties in a saintly manner.

On a whim, I checked my library's online catalog to see if they had it (I really didn't think they would, but it was worth a quick search). I typed in "Real Women Real Saints" and clicked "find it." Not finding the right title in the catalog, the website came back with a suggestion for what I might be looking. The next screen said "Do you mean "Real Women Have Curves"?

Oh yes. That's just what I meant.

  1. That's hilarious. Hey, if you do read the original said title, will you let me know if it's worth reading? Thanks. Enjoy your weekend!

  2. LOL that's so funny!
Another reason I dislike my library--they never have what I want...

  3. Barbara, thank you for the tip on the book and the link to Michelle's book review. I will be adding Real Women, Real Saints to my wish list. That's funny too what the library search screen pulled up... not quite the same thing!
    Blessings to you!

  6. Thanks for the link, Barb.

BTW, when I wrote "library", I meant personal library - your own bookshelves! Does your church have a library? It would make a good additional to that.

  7. Sarah,
    I will!

    Emily,
I am lucky that our library often does have what I am looking for. And if they don't, I can suggest a purchase, which they have often done for me.

    Kim,
    Thanks for blessings!

    Barb,
I actually can't disagree with that title -- I believe real women do have curves!

    Regina,
I started last night, ripped it out four times and now am about 1/3 finished. I am using the Lion's brand pattern.

    Melissa,
    You're welcome!

    Michelle,
I'm going to call the church this week to check on that.
