Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Not in the Church Pew

.

Today I stayed home from Mass with a child with a sick stomach. I'm not 100% sure it's as sick as she says it is, but the fear of vomit in the church pew kept me home. Am I the only one who thinks that vomit in the church pew is one of the worst things that could happen to a mother? I can take vomit almost anywhere (and have had it many interesting places) but not in the church pew.

That child is going to miss out on some fun, and yummy treats today, just in case that tummy is not as sick as it says. She'll also be at daily Mass this week, at least once.

  1. Vomit in church? Been there and done that. Christmas Eve childrens Mass. We just arrived home (FL) from Gemany and found out the hard way that my 10 month old (now 14) had an ear infection. Good times. But always fun to bug him about. :)

  2. Middle Sister has had the "not vomiting but definitely not feeling good" stomach since Friday. She didn't make Mass either, and it turned out to be not a good idea that we pressed her to eat more than just a few noodles for breakfast.

  3. Oh boy! Vomit at church...been there, done that too. It's always better to stay home if there is any possibility of a kid barfing during Mass.
