This Sunday is the church's celebration of the Feast of Corpus Christi, and so the gospel follows accordingly. With so many little First Communicants around the blogging community, it should be a big Feast Day. Hopefully some of these activities listed here will make it more special. It's a great learning opportunity.
This coming week is a big Feast Day week. Besides several big saint feast days, we have the Feast of The Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Feast of the Visitation. Hopefully you'll find something here that is useful for you to celebrate with your family.

Super-easy heart-shaped cake (large platter needed!)
ReplyDeleteBake your favorite cake. Use ONE 8-inch round pan and ONE 8-inch square pan.
Cut the round cake in half.
Turn all the cakes upside down (so the tops are flat) and lay the halves of the round cake on adjoining sides of the square cake. Use frosting to hold the whole thing together.
Thanks Barbara for all the work you do for all of us!!! I knew to come here for printouts!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed Corpus Christi!
PS, I will be at the MN Catholic Homeschool Conference on the Feast of the Sacred Heart, but I DO have a heart shaped cake pan and my Babycakes' birthday is Sunday the first, might have to make a heart shaped cake for her and the Sacred Heart!
