The Sandbox

We filled the sandbox yesterday and today I swept it all up off the family room floor. Or, at least it seemed that way.

This morning the sandbox contained the 6 year old, the 11 year old and the 16 year old -- all at the same time. I love the sandbox and I hate it.

    Love and hate it too! We haven't filled ours yet...it is simply enormous and I'm wondering...did you use the bag stuff, or is there a local provider where you can buy in bulk? I'd have to spend a small fortune just to put a couple inch layer on the bottom!

    We just have a Little Tykes sandbox (imagine that with the 16 yo in it), so we fill it with bags from The Depot. Try Columbus Builder Supply. We got a load of sand from them once when we were putting in a patio. I'm sure it's pretty cheap that way, although you have to pay the delivery fee (which may be pricey). Just make sure that it's play grade.

    You could also call the Metro Parks and find out where they get their sand.
