Today is my favorite Sunday in Advent (you know I have a favorite everything). Gaudete Sunday is a signal to me that Christmas is very close. Part of my brain reads that as hurry up, hurry up, get finished. And part of my brain reads it as get ready, get ready (for the Lord).
Yesterday the tree went up and it snowed like the dickens just to get me in the mood. I have a few more boxes of decorations to get out and then I have to focus on finishing up handmade gifts and baking. I always wait until the last minute -- I never learn. This will likely be a light school week.
Have a beautiful Sunday, friends. Use it for the Glory of God!
"Prepare ye the way of the Lord: Make straight in the wilderness His paths; Every valley shall be exalted; Every mountain and hill shall be made low; And the crooked shall be made straight; And the rough ways plain" (Is. 40:3, 4). Then shall you see the salvation of God!
Today we begin the Christmas Novena.
